AREA 5 PRESENTATION EVENING

This year’s Area 5 presentation evening proved very popular with over 120 people attending. The evening started with a quiz organised by Tony Parker, which was followed by a supper of jacket potatoes and various fillings and puddings supplied by everyone. After a couple more quiz rounds, the presentation of awards were made and again Stoneleigh were well represented in all disciplines.

Dear British Riding Club Chairman and Secretary,

The Sport Recreation Alliance are undertaking a massive piece of research in partnership with Sport England to assess the health of sport and recreation clubs across the country. We are asking you to help by taking part in their short survey.

Please take your time to read the below information which has been given to us by The Sport and Recreation Alliance in partnership with Sport England.

The Sports Club Survey is a piece of research undertaken by the Sport and Recreation Alliance, in partnership with Sport England, to assess the health of sport and recreation clubs across the country. It features questions on a variety of topics such as membership and volunteer numbers, club finances and the key challenges sports clubs are facing.

The responses to the survey will help provide valuable insight into the current state of clubs, volunteers and coaches that is needed to inform future funding and wider decisions made by Sport England and National Governing Bodies. The Alliance and Sport England will work together to review the results of the survey and seek to address the challenges highlighted by the data.

A sport or recreational club is defined as a group of people who get together regularly to take part in a physical or recreational activity.

The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Respondents will have the option of saving their progress as they go along and to return to the survey at a later date. In order to complete the section about club finances (section E of the questionnaire), it is recommended that respondents have information about their finances to hand.

Clubs who complete the survey will be entered into a prize draw where they have the chance to win one of two iPads or one of four £25 vouchers to spend on equipment. An early bird prize draw will be made on 16 November featuring clubs who have completed the survey by then. A second draw will be made during the week commencing 27 November, with a third and final draw made after the survey has closed on 15 December.

The club survey is now live and you can access it https://www.snapsurveys.com/wh/s.asp?k=150961428710

Thank you in advance for taking your time to do this survey.

Kind regards,

Grace
